Holocaust Memorial Day

A national commemoration day dedicated to the remembrance of those who suffered in the Holocaust, under Nazi persecution, and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.

An annual Buddhist festival that remembers the death of the Buddha when he reached Nirvana at the age of 80.

The UK Mothers' Day has its roots in religious celebration, falling on the fourth sunday of Lent.

BBC - Mothering Sunday

It's a chance to acknowledge and celebrate the mother figures in people's lives, by sending cards, gifts and spending time with loved ones.

St. Patrick's Day

Traditionally St Patrick's Day has its roots in religious celebration to honour the death of the patron saint of Ireland.

The day is now a worldwide celebration of Irish culture with parades, foods music, dancing and drinking.

A Hindu Festival, popularly known as 'the festival of colours'.

LUU Closed

Thursday 01 April is a half day closure, so staff will be expected to work in the morning, unless they have booked this off. LUU then closes for the afternoon and we will see you again on Wednesday 07 April.

Easter(Resurrection) Sunday

Traditionally a religious holiday, Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus. It's also a great time to gift chocolate, eat hot cross buns and spend time with friends and family.

The Ramadan start date for 2021 is expected to be Monday 12 April 2021, following the sighting of the moon over Mecca.
