This page has been created to provide staff with information on what rooms are available for booking meetings and events, who you should contact to do so, and if you require any catering this page will provide you with the details on how book it.
Bookable Spaces in LUU
Rainbow Rooms
Use our Room Booking System to book. You'll find this under the Quick Links section of the Staff Intranet. Not got a login? request one on the Digital services ticketing system.
Function
Function is your space to play with, and this super flexible venue can be used for everything. Contact LUU Events (events@luu.leeds.ac.uk) to book this venue.
Pyramid Canteen
This space has plenty of tables and chairs with a projector available at request. Contact LUU Events (events@luu.leeds.ac.uk) to book this venue.
Dance Studios
Use our Room Booking System to book. You'll find this under the Quick Links section of the Staff Intranet. Good for activity that requires movement or tables and chairs can be put in the space.
Riley Smith Theatre
This 360-seat space is your best bet for large-scale events and performances. Contact LUU Events (events@luu.leeds.ac.uk) to book this venue.
Old Bar
Old Bar is LUU’s proper traditional pub. Contact Jon Ball (j.p.ball@leeds.ac.uk) and Beth Newton-Green (b.v.newton-green@leeds.ac.uk) if you would like to book this venue.
Terrace
Leeds University Union’s very own rooftop bar. Contact Jon Ball (j.p.ball@leeds.ac.uk) and Tom O'Sullivan (t.o'sullivan@leeds.ac.uk) if you would like to book this venue.
Pyramid Theatre
This space can seat up to 200 people and can also be set up as a 160-seat studio theatre. Contact LUU Events (events@luu.leeds.ac.uk) to book this venue.
Stylus
This venue is great during the daytime for more active events. There is plenty of room to spread out and a great sound system. Contact LUU Events (events@luu.leeds.ac.uk) to book this venue.

If you require any catering for your meeting or event, please fill out the required forms for our Cafe's and Bars.
Cafe's
Our Cafe's Team can supply hot drinks, cakes, tray bakes, cookies, pastries and scones for your event or meeting.

Hybrid Conferencing and Meetings
The Owl
The Owl is best used in the scenario where you are having an in person meeting and some people have been unable to attend.
It is a conference call device that has a 360* camera and microphone. You’ll be able to place it in the middle of a room and it will be able to pick up whoever is speaking and even give them their own screen while in a video call.
To book The Owl for a conference or meeting visit the Service Catalogue on the IT Helpdesk.
Student Events
Exhibition Stand
Marketing and Communications now have an exhibition stand.
They will get priority to use it for specific events such as Fresh Start Festival and Welcome Week. Other teams in LUU are welcome to use it to set up at any events where they may be speaking to students.
The main panelled display is best used in indoor spaces but can be placed outdoors in areas with little or no wind (or with weights to ensure it’s held in place). The front stand can be used anywhere.
If you would like to book it for use or if there are any issues with the stand please contact luu.marketing@leeds.ac.uk.
