5.7 Rota Management
Weekly paid staff within certain areas of LUU sign up to Staff Savvy when they start employment at LUU. If your team use this system you will be informed of this by your line manager. Staff Savvy is a rota management system that helps you and your manager manage shifts. Staff are required to make their availability known on Staff Savvy. You need to update your availability on your account as requested by your line manager.
If you wish to swap a shift on Staff Savvy, it is your responsibility to ensure that the shift is filled by someone else. Failure to attend shifts will be handled in accordance with the other relevant policies within this handbook. (I.e. policies within Section 2 covering absence management or Section 8.4 Disciplinary Procedure)
Staff in areas where Staff Savvy is used must sign into the system using the digital tablets within their work area at the beginning of their shift and they must sign out at the end of their shift. Staff must also sign in and out for break times using the tablets. All breaks are unpaid. It is important that you do this to ensure your shift times are recorded correctly and to ensure the system has an accurate record of attendance. If you repeatedly fail to sign in or out on the tablets this may be treated as misconduct under LUU’S disciplinary procedure.
