Weekly News- Love to Learn

Within the Weekly News, we include a "Love to Learn" section, where we recommend a variety of free learning materials from courses and podcasts, to workshops and articles.

This week's Love to Learn recommendation is: Earth Day

Today is Earth Day- a global event which aims to highlight the importance of protecting the environment. The Founders highlight that though the day is an opportunity to take action, Earth Day is a movement. A movement that encourages and empowers everyone to rise up in a united call for the creativity, innovation, ambition, and bravery that is needed to meet the climate crisis and seize the enormous opportunities of a zero-carbon future.

On their website, they hold a wealth of resources to use and learn from, share with others, and inspire you to take action. To explore their Earth Hub, click here.

Random Meetups

What are they? An opportunity for you to get to know colleagues in LUU who you might not normally interact with and understand more about what they do.

How much time do they take? 30 minutes each month, that’s it.

Are they any good? Yes! But don’t take my word for it, here is what staff have said ‘I'd encourage anyone to do it, it's been valuable and also good fun' ‘This has been really helpful' ‘There is no pressure and every meet up has been different - different locations, different topics of conversation. It's brill!'

Employee Assistance Programme

Through our Employee Assistance Program, LUU staff have access to a great range of webinars, on topics such as Social media & mental health, Emotional Intelligence, The Menopause, Children's Mental Health & lots more!
